M/V HONOR Fire at Sea

A fire broke out on board American Roll-on Roll-off Carrier (ARC)’s M/V HONOR this morning at approximately 04:00 am CET after departing the port of Southampton, UK.  The fire has been extinguished, but the impacted and now-sealed cargo hold has not been inspected.

There was no injury to the crew. Under her own power, the ship is currently making her way back to Southampton where the situation, including any damage to the ship and cargo, will be further assessed.

ARC has made all the proper notifications to the relevant authorities and will provide further updates as additional information becomes known.
