Tysons Corner, VA – June 11, 2025 — The Defense Industry Initiative (DII) recently convened its annual Best Practices Forum at the Hyatt Regency in Tysons Corner, Virginia. This premier event brought together Ethics and Compliance professionals from across the Defense Industrial Base to exchange insights, strengthen professional networks, and hear directly from leaders representing the nation’s largest defense contractors.
This year’s theme, “Navigating a Transformative Era,” reflected the evolving ethics and compliance landscape, the rapid integration of artificial intelligence, and shifting global dynamics that continue to influence the priorities of the sector. Among the featured sessions, ARC presented on the topic of “Standing Up a Compliance Program.”
Led by ARC’s Senior Vice President & General Counsel Kelly Wilson Clark and organizational governance senior manager Christopher Valdivia, the session detailed ARC’s ongoing Ethics and Compliance program journey. Designed with small to medium-sized companies in mind, the presentation also resonated with larger defense contractors seeking to support their subcontractors in establishing robust compliance frameworks. “The information we shared today isn’t just critical for compliance programs—it’s a lifeline for smaller subcontractors who rely on leadership to navigate a complex regulatory landscape,” said Wilson Clark.
The Defense Industry Initiative is a nonpartisan, nonprofit organization representing nearly 80 member companies, primarily from the aerospace and defense sectors. Its mission is to foster a culture of ethical conduct across all companies engaged in government contracting. For more information, visit www.dii.org.
